Power over Ethernet Solutions Using a single standard data cable for video, data and power, Power over Ethernet(PoE) powers network Cameras by integrating the power source onto the data cabling infrastructure and removing the need for seaprate AC power cabling. The IEEE802.3af standard defines how to deliver Power over Ethernet infrastructure, while maintaining data integrity and avoiding any potential damage to legacy Ethernet devices such as PC's and laptops. The PoE Midspan is an independent power injector, installed in the wiring closet next to an existing Ethernet Switch and porivded power to the network Cameras.
